Felt Flower Tutorial

I found this cute idea for making felt flower garland in Better Homes & Gardens Magazine.  Their directions involved sewing {ouch!} so I took the liberty of “dumbing it down” for those of us who aren’t too handy with a needle. I can’t seem to stop making these… I’ve tried several color combos.  Not sure what I’ll do with all of them but some ideas so far are garland, wreath, gift topper, attach to alligator clip & wear it.  I also tried not putting anything in the center & instead placing it over a small Christmas light on my garland going up my stairs.  I’m sure there’s more… let me know what you think!

Felt Flower Tutorial

Step #1.  Cut six 2″ circles & six 1 1/2″ circles out of felt.

Step #2.  Using Fabri-Tac, glue smaller circle onto larger circle, having one edge touch.

Step #3.  Place small amount of Fabri-Tac on the edge where circles are overlapped & pinch together.

Step #4.  Repeat to make five more “petals”.
Step #5.  Fabri-Tac edges of petals to each other to form large flower.

Step #6.  Complete flower by gluing button or bell in the center.
